Year 6 began their science topic of light by exploring what happens to light beams as we block them with objects. We experimented with different materials before going on to prove that light doesn’t bend using card and torches to show where the beams of light travel to and from. We observed that when passing through the hole in the card, it can be seen shining on another piece of card. When we block or move the hole, the light no longer passes through the opaque object.
