Autumn 1 Week 6
This week Year 1 welcomed some of our grandparents into the school hall to showcase their memories of living in the 1960s. The children were enthralled by all of the objects, pictures and stories the grandparents shared. They also enjoyed having a go at some of the hobbies of the time such as sewing and spirograph art as well as playing with some 1960s toys. WE finished the session with a 1960 style disco to some of the hits of the time. The children came back buzzing with all the interesting things they had found out.
We would like to thank all of the adults who were able to join us as well as those who sent in artifacts to share in class.
