Year 6 visited MathsCity in Leeds on Thursday 5th December and spent time investigating maths problems and mathematical phenomena in a fun and hands-on way. The centre has a huge range of exhibits including an avalanche simulator, a city builder, logic puzzles, code breaking machines and even a gigantic bubble machine that children can use to trap themselves in a giant bubble! The children had an absolutely fantastic time using different aspects of maths, exploring careers that use maths and building a Leonardo Dome which they then climbed inside! Lots of children said they wanted to go back and visit with their families which is a sure sign of a successful trip.
Unfortunately not the ones with chocolate chips.
