First week in Year 5 03.09.24
First week back:
What a brilliant first week back Year 5 have had! The children have settled in so well and have got stuck in to all of our lessons this week.
In maths, we are beginning to look at place value up to a million. The children have been using place value charts and counters to make a range of numbers and showcase how to add 10, 100 and 1000 to each number.
In English, we have launched our new book: The Explorer! The children are enjoying listening to the adventures of Fred, Con, Lila and Max as they unexpectedly crash land in the Amazon Rainforest!
On Friday, all of KS2 took a trip to Filey Beach! We were blessed with beautiful sunshine so the children got to play in the sea, make sandcastles and even enjoyed an ice-cream!
