Nell Bank Trip
Today the children had a wonderful time visiting Nell Bank. They had chance to try lots of different activities and learn more about woodland animals.
The children started their learning with a story (The Owl Babies) this then led to creative tasks using leaves and sticks such as making a nest for a baby owl and games linked to animals sounds and moving silently like an owl. The had chance to explore some of the activity trails including balancing, tunnels and also a large climbing frame with slides.
After lunch the children went on a minibeast hunt, learnt facts about some birds and mammals that live in the local areas on a habitat trail and also accessed the water play area.
The children had a great time and learnt a lot of interesting facts that will feed nicely into our science topic all about animals.
