Properties of materials:
In science this week, the children carried out an investigation to help their teacher keep their break-time coffee warmer for longer. The children needed 3 paper cups, a thermometer and a stop watch. They then selected two different materials to wrap around the bottom of two of their cups. Their third cup was a 'control cup' which was not wrapped up in any extra material. The children then filled their cups with warm water and recorded the temperature of the water every five minutes for 30 minutes, looking for any patterns they could see. The children then recorded their results in a table!
