Another lovely week has been had!
This week, the children have been on a trip to Nell Bank, where they learnt more about the Stone Age and got to take part in a range of Stone Age activities such as: rock painting, basket weaving, den building and fire lighting. We all had a fab time and the children really impressed the staff at Nell Bank with the knowledge they already had!
In writing lessons, the children have been learning what time adverbials are and have had a practise at using them. They did a group activity to gather different time adverbials from around the classroom then they had to order a set of instructions, adding the appropriate time adverbials in.
In science, we did our next lesson on light where we learnt about reflection then tested different materials to see how well they reflected light by measuring it with a LUX meter on the iPad. The children were so shocked to find out that the sea isn't actually blue in colour, it is the reflection of the sky that makes it like that!
