First Week in Year 1
What a fantastic first week back it’s been for our Year 1 pupils!
The children have returned full of energy, curiosity, and excitement, and they’ve already been busy exploring everything their new classroom has to offer. Throughout the week, the children have taken on a range of learning challenges across different subjects. They’ve been sharpening their math skills with fun counting and number activities, getting to grips with letters and have they haved dived into storytime challenges that sparked their imagination and creativity.
It hasn’t all been indoors either! Pupils have loved taking their learning outside into the construction area, where teamwork and problem-solving came to life through building and creating together.
One of the week’s highlights was our first Forest School afternoon. The children explored our beautiful school woodland, engaging with nature and building their confidence in the great outdoors.
We’re so proud of how well Year 1 have settled back into school life. We can’t wait to see what the next few weeks bring!
