Autumn 1 Week 3

We have had a busy week in Year 4!

On Monday, we had our Ancient Greek day where the children saw a range of artefacts, learnt about Greek life, played different games and used pens to create a piece of art.

This half term we have outdoor learning where the children looked at different seeds and plants and went on a hunt to see what we had on our school grounds.

In maths this week, we continued working on our place value unit, focusing on number lines up to 10,000. In reading, we continued our exciting book Who Let the Gods Out, which has sparked lots of great discussions. Our science lessons included a hands-on experiment to help us understand evaporation in action. In PE, we enjoyed developing our teamwork and skills while playing handball. In writing, we have been practising expanded noun phrases and fronted adverbials to create detailed and descriptive sentences.
