Year 2 have had another fantastic week of learning!
In maths, we have moved on to addition and subtraction, with the children exploring fact families and related facts. They used manipulatives to strengthen their understanding and make clear links between concepts.
In writing, we looked at the features of a diary and practised turning verbs into the past tense to use in our own sentences. The children impressed us with their creativity and the care they put into their presentation.
In history, we continued our topic on significant women in flight, learning about the inspirational Amelia Earhart and our local pioneer Amy Johnson. The children enjoyed comparing their achievements and spotting similarities and differences between them.
It’s been a wonderful week of curiosity, creativity and enthusiasm in Year 2!
