Autumn 2 Week 1
We are so proud of how well Year 5 have settled into the new half term. ⭐
This week we launched our new learning topics with great curiosity and energy. The children explored different areas of the curriculum, asking thoughtful questions and showing a real eagerness to learn 🌟
In maths we have looked at equivalent fractions. The children worked carefully to understand how fractions can be the same in value and showed excellent perseverance with their practice 🔢
In English, we have been exploring relative clauses. The children wrote detailed and creative sentences, showing great understanding of how to add extra information to their writing ✍️
In science we have started our forces unit. The children investigated how different forces affect objects and demonstrated excellent observation skills in their experiments ⚙️
Outdoor learning has kicked off with some activities on Bonfire Night. The children enjoyed learning in the fresh air, taking part in fun and safe practical activities while learning about firework safety and history. 🌳
It has been a busy but brilliant week. We are so impressed with the positive attitude Year 5 have shown and we are looking forward to the learning ahead 🌟
