What a brilliant first week back we have had in Year 4!
The children have been busy completing either their beginners' skills or Bike Ability Level 1. The children learnt lots of new skills and have become far more confident riding bikes which has been amazing to see. We saw a lots of determination and resilience and they should all be very proud of themselves. These sessions have prepared them for when we go to Lineham Farm for our residential in February!
This week, the children took part in pedestrian training to make sure that they are safe when crossing the roads. The children loved getting outside and learnt some really important lessons about road safety. They now are more familiar with the 'Green Cross Code' and know that they must: Think, Stop, Look and Listen.
In writing, we have been generating vocabularly for when Lucy walks through the wardrobe into Narnia. We went outside to see how the branches would feel, felt 'snow' and fur. The children thought of some brilliant adjectives and exapanded noun phrases.
In maths, we have been learning about area. We have been counting squares to find the area of 2D, closed shapes. We have been focusing on our 3, 4, 8 and 6 times tables.
