Autumn 2 Week 3

This week in Year 5 has been full of exciting learning opportunities and thoughtful discussions!

In English, we have been writing persuasive texts to help save the orangutans. The children have shown real passion for this cause, using powerful language and emotive arguments to encourage others to take action. ๐Ÿฆงโœ๏ธ

In maths, we have been focusing on ordering and comparing fractions. The children demonstrated fantastic determination as they used their knowledge to tackle increasingly challenging questions. ๐Ÿ”ข

In science, our investigations turned to air resistance. The children explored how different shapes and materials can affect how objects move through the air, making careful observations and drawing thoughtful conclusions. ๐ŸŒฌ๏ธ๐Ÿงช

In PE, we have been developing our teamwork skills through Outdoor and Adventurous Activities (OAA). The children worked brilliantly together, communicating effectively and supporting one another to solve challenges. ๐Ÿค๐Ÿƒ‍โ™‚๏ธ

In computing, we have been learning all about systems and online safety. The children engaged in valuable discussions about how digital systems work and how to stay safe and responsible online. ๐Ÿ’ป๐Ÿ”

In outdoor learning, the children had great fun practising their archery skills and working collaboratively to build their own mini catapults, putting their problem-solving and creativity to the test. ๐Ÿน๐Ÿ› ๏ธ
