Autumn 2 Week 4

Autumn 2 - Week 4

This week has been a wonderfully busy and exciting time across the school, especially for our Year One pupils. They have thrown themselves into their Design and Technology project, exploring different mechanisms in preparation for creating their very own moving Christmas cards. The children loved designing and making levers, sliders, and wheels, and it was fantastic to see their creativity and problem-solving skills shine.

Year One have also been getting into the festive spirit as they rehearse for their upcoming Christmas concert. Their enthusiasm and growing confidence have filled the school with plenty of cheer!

To end the week, the whole school joined together on Friday to support Year Five’s Endangered Animal Day. All pupils came to school dressed as animals—everything from tiny insects to roaring lions—and enjoyed exploring the incredible work Year Five have completed as part of their topic. It was a fun and meaningful way to raise money and awareness for endangered species.

Well done to all the children for their hard work, creativity, and enthusiasm this week. We can’t wait to see what next week brings!
