Autumn 2 Week 5

The Christmas preparations are in full swing now and the children have been rehearsing for their concerts, singing their hearts out.

In Geography this week, they have been learning about what the villagers in Mugurameno village in Zambia use the River Zambezi for. They have learnt actions and have been making short video clips to demonstrate their understanding.

In Maths, we have started out shape unit and the children have been working hard to identify, name and sort 3D shapes. We set up lots of different activities this week for the children and played a game where they had to roll the dice and make the shape out of play-doh.

The children have been hard at work in phonics  - most children should now know all set 2 and the first 6 set 3 sounds. We are building fluency by reading using fred in our head until we know the words by sight.
