How will my child be involved in decisions about their education?

At Springbank, we recognise that the child’s voice is essential in ensuring the provision we put in place is meaningful, effective, and responsive. We gather pupil voice in a variety of ways, exploring a broad range of areas to understand their experiences and perspectives. These may include:

  • Discovering their interests outside of school
  • Exploring relationships with staff and peers, and whether they feel included
  • Finding out what they enjoy at school and what they find challenging
  • Asking what they would like to improve or get better at

Every child is different, so the way we gather this information will vary. We use a range of approaches including structured questions, games, surveys, and visual supports to ensure pupils can express themselves in ways that suit them best.
