How will Springbank adapt its teaching for my child?

At Springbank, we use a range of strategies to ensure the curriculum is accessible and responsive to each child’s needs. These include:

  • Adaptive planning and teaching approaches
  • Flexible groupings and targeted interventions
  • Use of scaffolds, assistive technology, and adapted resources
  • Support from teaching assistants and specialist staff

 

These strategies are tailored to the individual, ensuring that every child can engage meaningfully with learning and make progress

 

High-quality adaptive teaching is our most powerful tool for securing pupil progress. However, some children with SEND may require additional, targeted support. Our carefully selected interventions, designed to complement, not replace, high-quality teaching may focus on:

  • Teaching specific skills
  • Building emotional resilience
  • Addressing barriers to learning

 

Each intervention is chosen with care, based on individual needs, and reviewed regularly to ensure it is making a meaningful difference. The below table gives some examples of what intervention could be used however a full list can be found on our whole school provision map:
