How will Springbank measure my child's progress?

We will follow a ‘graduated approach’ (outlined in the SEND Code of practice) to meeting your child’s SEN needs. This is a 4-part cycle of assess, plan, do, review:

How we measure progress

Before starting any intervention we carry out a baseline assessment. This helps us understand where your child is starting from, so we can measure how much progress they make.

We then:

  • Track your child’s progress over time
  • Adjust our support based on what works best for them
  • Keep you informed and involved throughout

This is a continual cycle. If your child makes good progress, they may no longer need additional SEN support. If they still need help, we revisit and refine their plan to make sure it continues to meet their needs.
