Evergreen and Deciduous Trees
This week in science the children have been learning about evergreen and deciduous trees. They have been observing the different leaves from these trees and learning how to identify and sort them into two categories.
The children were really good a spotting the evergreen leaves with their thick waxy leaves or waxy needles. They sorted the leaves into groups and used the scientific terms to describe each leaf.
It would be great if they could extend their learning by spotting these types of plants while out and about. If they want to share any pictures or examples of deciduous or evergreen leaves in class please feel free to send them in.
