This week in Year 2, the children have begun an exciting new writing unit exploring traditional fairy tales alongside twisted fairy tales. They identified and compared key features of each type and generated a wide range of descriptive adjectives to bring story characters to life.
In maths, we have continued our learning on multiplication, using arrays to support multiplication sentences. We have been really impressed by the children’s determination and their methodical approach to solving problems.
During computing, the children developed their photography skills by learning what makes a good photograph. They built on this knowledge by beginning to edit their photos, further developing their digital skills.
In DT, the children planned ingredients for a balanced cous cous salad, before making their own recipes. They practised safe food preparation skills, including using the claw technique to chop ingredients carefully.
