Water transportation in plants 07.07.2025

Today in science, the children learnt about the role of a plants stem and how it helps to transport water through the plant to the leaves and the flower. To test how a stem works, we set up an investigation using light coloured flowering plant, water and food colouring. After a while, the petals of the flower turned blue which allowed the children to see how the water had been transported.
