1W went on their summer trip to RHS Harlow Carr in Harrogate. The weather was very warm and sunny and we had lots of time to explore the beautiful gardens when we arrived. We even had time for a play in the wooden play area. After lunch, the children took part in a workshop called 'signs of the seasons' where they drew on their learning about the seasons from throughout the year. We then went out into the 'Summer' garden to do different activities such as collecting petals to make a bookmark, play a pollinator game wearing bee and butterfly costumes and plant a seed. The whole time, we were keeping an eye out for different things listed on our sheets - flowers, vegetables, watering cans. We were kept very busy and the children all had a great time.
