5J’s Viking Adventure at Murton Park! ⚔️🏡
5J had an incredible trip to Murton Park, stepping back in time to experience life as Vikings! We took part in a fantastic re-enactment, practicing our guarding skills with spears and shields, just like real Viking warriors.
As part of our adventure, we explored the Viking village and houses, met the villagers—including a fierce Saxon invader and the Lady of the Village—and took part in hands-on activities. We crafted clay pots, played Viking board games, and even ground our own flour before using it to make dough, just as the Vikings would have done.
This trip was a brilliant way to bring our Viking topic to life, putting everything we’ve learned into practice. Take a look at our photos to see us in action as Vikings for the day! ⚔️🔥🏡
