In Maths, we continued to build confidence with fractions, focusing on adding and subtracting fractions with mixed numbers. The children strengthened their understanding by learning how to break the whole, using practical strategies and written methods to support their problem-solving skills. β
In English, we reached the end of our class novel The Explorer and completed our writing where we wrote about the journey of a letter inspired by a Coco-Cola advert. The children worked hard to develop atmosphere and mood using expanded noun phrases, showcasing their creativity and growing writing skills. πβοΈ
In Spanish, we explored the topic Mi casa, learning how to describe our homes and ask where people live. The children enjoyed practising new vocabulary and simple conversational phrases with confidence. πͺπΈπ
In PE, our final 'Outdoor Adventurous Activities' session focused on using Morse code. The children worked collaboratively to solve challenges, developing communication, teamwork and problem-solving skills. π§π‘
Alongside our learning, we embraced all the excitement of the final week before Christmas, including 'Toy Day', a wonderful Christmas carol concert and plenty of end-of-term festivities. It was a joyful and memorable way to finish the term! πΆππ§Έ
