In our first History lesson on the Romans, the children explored the past by creating their own chronological timelines using practical materials. They began by placing historical periods they had previously learned about including the Stone Age and the Egyptians and then added the Romans, finishing with Roman Britain. This hands-on activity helped the children understand where the Romans fit into the broader story of history and sparked great enthusiasm for our new topic!
