As part of our electricity topic, children looked at how they could affect the flow of electricity through a circuit. We discussed when we might need circuits that could be broken and re-connected such as when we need to turn lights on and off. Children were then given a variety of materials and asked to construct a circuit that included a switch. There was lots of opportunities to try out different methods and eventually, we all had a circuit where we could switch the light on and off! If was fantastic to see so much collaboration and see children help each other out!
