Year 5 have worked incredibly hard during the final week of half term and should be very proud of everything they have achieved.
One of the highlights of the week was our exciting Anglo-Saxon Day with Catherine Conyard. The children fully immersed themselves in the experience, exploring fascinating artefacts and learning about Anglo-Saxon life, including longhouses, daily life and warfare. They especially enjoyed getting hands-on and making their own Anglo-Saxon keyrings, which they were very proud to take home.
The class also completed their beautiful mosaic projects. After weeks of careful planning and hard work, it was wonderful to see the finished pieces come together. The creativity, patience and attention to detail on display were fantastic.
It was also Mental Health Week, and Year 5 took part in thoughtful discussions and activities focused on wellbeing. The children showed maturity and kindness as they reflected on ways to look after themselves and support others.
Well done, Year 5, for such a positive and productive end to the half term!
