Year 5 have had a fantastic and memorable final week before the Easter holidays, filled with creativity, celebration, hands-on learning and risk-taking!
The children proudly completed their mechanical toy projects, showcasing their hard work, problem-solving skills, and creativity. It has been wonderful to see their designs come to life and to celebrate the progress they have made throughout this D.T topic.
A real highlight of the week was our visit to Murton Park, where pupils were fully immersed in Viking life. Dressed in traditional attire, they baked bread, made pottery, and worked together to stop a raid, bringing their historical learning to life in an exciting and engaging way.
Back in school, the excitement continued with ‘Springbank’s Got Talent’, where some of our pupils had the opportunity to share their unique skills and perform in front of their peers. We also enjoyed our annual Easter egg competition, with a fantastic range of creative and imaginative entries on display!
It has been a wonderful week to end the term, and we are incredibly proud of all the children’s enthusiasm and achievements. We wish everyone a happy and restful Easter holiday.
