Year 2 had a brilliant time at Abbey House Museum, diving into their upcoming history topic, The History of Seaside Holidays and How They’ve Changed Over Time. The children explored recreated Victorian streets to see what life was like over a century ago. They were fascinated to learn how seaside holidays first became popular—discovering steam train travel and historic bathing machines! The highlight of the day was dressing up in traditional Victorian outfits, giving our young historians a real, hands-on feel for holidays of the past.
