Year 5 geography fieldwork - a river walk
As part of their rainforest topic and learning about rivers, Year 5 enjoyed an exciting river walk to see river features in real life and link them to their learning about the Amazon River. The children walked down to the river, carefully observing the surroundings. They sat down near the river and took their time to complete detailed sketches, staying on task and demonstrating their knowledge. They also took part in a rivers quiz, applying what they had learned and spotting examples in the environment. After a busy and enjoyable morning, they walked all the way back up the hill. The children showed great determination and teamwork throughout the day. Well done Year 5!
