Year 6 headed off to Eden Camp to learn more about Yorkshire at War. So far Year 6 have been learning about WW1 so this was an interesting way to start their WW2 learning journey. The children had chance to experience 1940s music, entertainment and wartime life by visiting the huge array of exhibits on display at the museum. Children experienced the noise and chaos of an air raid in The Blitz, had chance to sit in an air raid shelter, become a submarine driver and stand up close and personal with some of the heavy artillery and weaponry from the time. The children were beautifully behaved and are looking forward to finding out more about WW2 next half term.
