Young Voices concert at Sheffield Arena

The choir at Springbank has gone from strength to strength in the last two years thanks to the commitment and hard work of Mrs Ashley-Copper and Mrs Goddard.  Last year they organised for the choir to take part in the Young Voices concert for the first time and it was such a success that we just had to go again this year!  46 children and 5 members of staff headed off to Sheffield Arena last Friday lunchtime to take part in the Young Voices concert 2015.  It was a long but absolutely fantastic day!  Young Voices is specifically designed to unify children from across the region, boost their confidence and provide lifelong memories for them and their families and it certainly does all that!  Our children were extremely excited as they formed part of a 4644 strong choir with other children from schools across Yorkshire and beyond.  Having spent months practising the songs and dance moves at school and home, the children took part in a final rehearsal during the afternoon. The standard of the singing during the evening concert was amazing and the children all thoroughly enjoyed the whole experience, including accompanying artists such as Lucy Spraggan of “X-Factor Fame” and Liverpool’s boy band Mic Lowri.   Thank you to all the parents and family members who travelled to Sheffield for the final concert; we hope you all enjoyed it as much as we did.  Roll on Young Voices 2016!
